The decision to homeschool does not mean you have to do it alone. We are experienced homeschoolers and educators who will provide you with the customized support you need as primary educators in your home. We believe that if God has called you to homeschool, then He will never fail to equip you for His purposes. We’re here to encourage you along the way!

Hello! My name is Angela Keathley, and I am humbled and honored to serve the homeschooling community. My husband, Darrell and I recently celebrated 25 years of marriage! We have three children Micah (deceased), Alec age 17, and Graham age 10. I have been homeschooling for 11 years. My love for teaching began when my father/pastor called on me at an early age to fill in as a Sunday school teacher for a primary class. That experience led me to teach Sunday school for the next 16 years. I have lead numerous women’s groups throughout the years and also taught in the classroom for six years. I have taught at various local homeschool co-ops and currently teach in my neighborhood co-op. My hobbies are reading, biking, and watching my boys play sports. I am a graduate of Liberty University with a BS in Religion. My desire as the CAK Homeschool Director is to offer assistance to families in educating their children. I believe in educating the whole child in order to encourage physical, social, emotional, and most importantly spiritual development. I pray for discernment to provide families with wise Biblical counsel in their homeschooling endeavors. My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 91:1-2: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

Throughout the orchestra of my life, God has allowed me to play many instruments. It began with my early career in marketing at the Pier 1 Imports corporate office in Texas, to development work at the Helen Ross McNabb Center in Knoxville, to my favorite part, homeschooling my two children from 1st through 12th grade!

During this time of homeschooling, I also had the opportunity to lead the Cedar Springs Homeschool Group, coach high school homeschoolers Science Olympiad team, lead the curriculum review committee five years at River’s Edge Christian Academy and volunteer teach at various ministries such as Thrive Knoxville.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from TCU. Through my varied experiences and education, I look forward to helping CAK homeschool students find God’s educational purpose for their lives. I want to provide wise counsel and supportive encouragement to all homeschool families at CAK.

Accomodations Consultant

I have a wonderful husband and two sons, Brandon and Ben. Brandon finished his education at Carson Newman University and Ben is in high school.

I have worked the majority of my career as a speech language pathologist in Knox County Schools. This experience allows me to bring a unique perspective to my position with the CAK homeschool department. Navigating the waters of educating students with different needs is a difficult task. I hope to offer assistance to our families that desire a relationship with the CAK Learning Center as well as provide information regarding outside agencies.

Homeschooling my son has been a rewarding experience that the Lord has provided for our family. I look forward to walking alongside other families that choose this path for their children.

Assistant to the Director

I am a graduate from the University of Tennessee with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I taught in the public school system for almost 10 years before having my first child. Our son, Reese, attended public school for 2 years and our daughter, Raegan, only 1 semester. My husband and I did not feel the kids were being challenged enough academically. Additionally, we had significant concerns over the beliefs and values they were being exposed to. So after much prayer, talking, doubts, and fears, we decided to homeschool. And what a blessing it has been. We have now homeschooled our kids for the past 11 years. It is truly a blessing to be able to be with my children everyday- to laugh, love, guide and educate them.

I am now in a position to work with Angela and help other families on their homeschooling path. All of us in the CAK Homeschool office strive to make your homeschooling experience as enjoyable, effective and efficient as possible.
